Lighthouse Landing Attractions

We have several items of interest to enhance your outdoor experience at Lighthouse Landing.   Not the least of which is our canoe and kayak rentals on the Tioughnioga

("Tea-aff-nee-o-ga" ) River.

Camping

 

Much of Lighthouse Landing is undeveloped land offering great places for a secluded campsites by the Tioughnioga River for RV or Tent, picnic, or just a hide-a-way for solitude and reflection.   Rustic Tent and RV camping is available in various lots on the property.

RV Camp Sites

There are now some limited electric and water RV sites available. An RV dumping station is available.  Generators are encouraged to supply your own electric needs.

We now have an Upscale Bath House equipped to handle all of your bathing and toilet needs at no extra charge. Construction is underway installing several additional electric, water & sewer lines at designated RV sites. There is also WiFi high speed internet on a limited basis.

Good Fishing

The Tioughnioga River has good fishing. This year we are hosting a Carp fishing derby on the river.  Click here for further info on this exciting event for everyone who likes to fish and be on the water.

We also offer FREE guided tours on the Tioughnioga River from Marathon, NY to Messengerville, NY upon request.   All that is required is payment for the boat rental and reservations made in advance.  See below for details.

Shown at left is our main building, as it looked in the past. This year we have finished construction of a new bathhouse and have added a commercial kitchen with a dining pavilion. A gazebo will be added later as time permits. All is now ready for the 2010 season. We are open for canoe and kayak rentals with a full staff to serve you each weekend.

Canoe and Kayak Rentals:

Canoes and kayaks can be rented on an a daily or weekly basis.  All boats come equipped with oars or paddles and life jackets and helmets.

River Tubes are rented on an hourly basis.  

See New York State law below regarding life jacket and safety regulations.

 

Rates:

 

Canoes & Kayaks (Rented on a per-day basis)

Starting at: $30.00 – Single person boat

Starting at: $40.00 – Double person boat

River Tube Rentals:

Starting at: $10.00

Prices vary for different length trips on the river.  See store or call for details.

 

Note: Rentals include all New York State required safety equipment which includes life vests and helmets for each person using the canoe or kayak, plus a set of paddles.   These must be returned in the same condition that they were issued in before the deposit will be refunded.

RESERVATIONS – Are necessary to assure availability and save you money.   Call us 8:00am to 6:00pm for trip planning and to make your reservation. Personal, company checks, Visa MasterCard and Discover card are accepted anytime.  We do not accept checks from outside of New York State.

Come and enjoy the natural surroundings as our forefathers did many hundreds of years ago in a setting that is un-spoiled by urban development.

 

Note:  New York State Law requires that each person in or using a watercraft must have a life preserver.  Children under 12 years of age are required to wear the life preserver at all times when on the water in a watercraft.
